The food of the brunch and breakfast are just all surrounded by flies and it just gross how it keep stepping on the food

For once, I left it to my wife to confirm this reservation. As a result, I wasn't questioned. So I'll allow myself to detail my analysis. The setting looks like an idyllic location. Upon arrival, private parking...top notch! At the reception desk, there are several people. Everything is well explained. We had booked a massage... The O'Spa is across the street, admittedly 15 meters away, but you'll hesitate to go there in your bathrobes. We immediately note that the bar is open. No matter, we decide to have a drink before heading to the pool. An employee present cordially ignores us. He's cleaning the tables following a storm that occurred 2 hours earlier (but only the tables). I imagine he'll take care of us... Well, no. I ask my wife to get a wipe or a cloth because I don't want to sit in these "basin" chairs. Everything's fine, he finally serves us. Restaurant reservation at 8 p.m. (it must be said that we enjoy the benefits of a box offered by our children). As a professional in the hotel and restaurant industry, I am cautious. We are served an aperitif, rushing us to order, which I understand. The tables next to us receive small savory things. I pass on the "very light" Spritz Vendéen. After 48 minutes, exasperated to see that all the neighboring tables are served, we call out to a member of the staff dressed all in a black suit. What haven't we done? This gentleman, bordering on rude, explains to us that the next course was coming; I gently correct him by explaining that we were waiting for the starter on the menu. Finally, everyone wakes up. There seemed to be so many of them that I wondered how they were paid. Despite the multitude of staff on this beautiful terrace, no one had noticed that we were not served. I'll skip the pension menu, in my case a consommé for which I had to ask for a spoon, the duck fillet was way overcooked and very underseasoned for my taste. The dessert was interesting. They proudly display the title of master restaurateur...? Seasoning is a flavor enhancer. Please. On the way out, the director or manager offered us an aperitif, a very light spritz and a fruit juice. Having been well-mannered, I thanked him for the goodwill gesture while telling him that if I had been his boss (at least that of his colleague), I would have given him a warning. I'll skip over breakfast, which was well-stocked. But I hate mugs to drink my coffee in, especially when there is only one coffee machine available. So, more than mixed feelings, interesting place, super nice town....Could do much better. Best Western + ????? 4 stars? After the shower (walk-in type) avoid the flooded shower room.

The staff is simply amazing!!! Honestly, I've rarely stayed in a hotel with such caring staff. Beyond this kindness, the people were warm. You immediately feel at home and want to stay several nights. It certainly gives you an excuse to come back to Clisson.
And the location is IDEAL!!!

What a disappointment for this hotel that claims to be 4 stars. Lots of points for improvement. We felt that there was a shortage of staff as soon as we arrived. The tables weren't cleared, papers were lying around on the terrace, and the paving stones were broken. A simple coffee order took 20 minutes to arrive! Leaves at the bottom of the pool, and the deckchairs were torn and full of holes because they were worn. Remember to come early for breakfast because after a certain time (9:30 a.m.), the bakery's pastries disappear! They are even replaced by miniature croissants. Finally, it would be good to improve the presentation of the breakfast, which is not very appealing. A word of advice: Take the example of the Hotel La Chaize in Noirmoutier, where the breakfast buffet is tastefully presented and restocked as needed for a lower price. A few positive points, however: a beautiful view from the terrace. The hotel is well soundproofed and well located. You can explore Clisson on foot. The room was air-conditioned, spacious, clean, the bedding was good. The price/quality ratio needs to be reviewed!!!
