We had brunch at this restaurant on Heritage Day Sunday. A mixed review: the head waiter deserves high marks for his tireless work, constantly shuttling between the terrace and the kitchen. Generally speaking, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The terrace is simply furnished and decorated.
The buffet is quite good, but you often have to wait for the staff to replenish the dishes.
The chef's behavior around the brazier is striking! Between each customer, he sits down to casually check his computer and mobile phone. I've never seen such behavior in a restaurant of this caliber! At the entrance, numerous plaques from the Michelin Guide, the Collège Culinaire de France, and the Maître Restaurateur designation adorn the facade, a testament to the establishment's reputation. The head chef's behavior is completely at odds with all the professional accolades he receives. At the end of service, the junior cooks clear the work area while the chef calmly goes back to his other duties.
How can the management of this establishment condone such a nonchalant attitude? On several occasions, the kitchen staff were seen on the bench by the terrace entrance, smoking and taking their breaks in full view of all the customers, without anyone reacting. I think this establishment deserves to pay closer attention to certain behaviors. In the end, we ate quite well, but the overall impression is rather mixed.
