The Villa Saint-Antoine restaurant offers Italian-style cuisine using locally-sourced products
It faces the Clisson Castle and has a wonderful 500 m² alfresco terrace in a romantic setting on the Sèvre River edge. The chef, Jérémie Bourgeois, takes his inspiration from locally-sourced seasonal products and creates sophisticated dishes. The restaurant has been awarded the title of “Maître Restaurateur”, so all the dishes are made exclusively with fresh produce and the menu is changed every season.

Villa Saint-Antoine Ecolabel
The Best Western PLUS Villa Saint-Antoine is a first hotel in the Nantes vineyards to receive the European Ecolabel seal of approval. This certification guarantees its customers that the hotel has done everything possible to reduce its impact on the environment. This 43-room hotel it is run in such a way as to guarantee the comfort and services of a four-star hotel, while bringing significance to its customers’ stays. This tourist accommodation actively works to limit its impact on the environment:
Formally an old flax mill on the edge of the River Sèvre, the hotel was completely renovated and opened its doors in June 2010.
From the outset, we have shown our willingness to create an environmentally friendly hotel, by choosing, for example, dual flow ventilation. We have introduced daily environmentally-friendly management of the hotel and the restaurant. In practical terms, this involves the sorting of waste, installing water-saving devices and LED lighting for 80% of all our light fittings, to protect the environment.
Being awarded the European Ecolabel reflects the hotel’s commitment, through a staff of 30, who have taken it on board fully and been trained in this approach.
To be awarded the European Ecolabel the hotel had to meet the 39 compulsory criteria. These criteria range from energy use to waste management and include the training of the staff and how customers are made aware of the environment.
The hotel is also committed to a plan of actions in the coming years, including the introduction of motion sensors in the corridors and the toilets and composting the restaurant’s organic waste.
- By promoting the use of renewable energy sources
- By saving energy and water
- And by reducing waste
